Social Responsibility

Based on fundamental values such as cooperation, respect, solidarity and teamwork, contained in our corporate philosophy, we have established specific approaches to the development of the Company social responsibility program, which seeks to help improve the life quality of disadvantaged communities, increase the profits, establish best working conditions for employees and contribute to the preservation of the environment.

Shareholders

The company continuously evaluates business opportunities in the energy industry, makes risks analysis and strategic investments, achieving by this way, greater value for our shareholders.

We have established effective communications links to provide them clear and accurate information about their investments status, offering promptly and liability to answer any of their requirements.

Human Resources

'It is the most valuable asset of the organization.'

Our human resource is the key for the success in projects developed by the Company, by its dynamism, creativity and entrepreneurship. We create for them, adequate workplaces with the safety and comfort conditions required for an optimal performance of their activities.

We establish health and training programs, in order to contribute to its individual and professional development, ensuring their integrity and encouraging in them the teamwork, the leadership and participation.

We respect the plurality and ethnic diversity of our staff, recognizing their importance and promoting a work environment surrounded by tolerance, cooperation and empathy.

The Community

'We identify the community problems and we are part of the solving.'

Our company cares about the community welfare and contributes to improve the life quality of most vulnerable population located in the influence area of our operations center in Santa Marta, Colombia. Through our companies in Santa Marta, we have delivered donations in a direct way and we also have participated in campaigns to help the community performed by government entities as the Santa Marta mayor's office and the Magdalena Government and non governmental entities as the International Red Cross.

The Business Group has been linked in a solidarity way with the winter victims donating mattresses, nonperishable food and kitchen kits; with the children from poor families, contributing with school kits represented in books, notebooks, bags, among other items, with the reconstruction of a primary school in our influence area and with the donation of toys for children of poor communities, at Christmas.

Environment

'Because there is no alternative to the earth.'

We are a company that works every day for a cleaner environment, our main economic activity consists to create alternative fuels which minimize the greenhouse gases emissions to the atmosphere, to this, we are started the construction of a mixing unit diesel – biodiesel in our installations in Santa Marta, Colombia, with which we will produce blending in a different percentages as the B5, B10, B20, among others, where the number represents the biodiesel percentage in the mix.

By this way, we achieve a better use of fossils fuels, becoming them in friendlier products with the environment, without affect their performance because the biodiesel increases the efficiency and doubles the durability of engines, improving ignition and lubricity.

Through our strategic planning system, we have implemented environmental management systems in production processes for waste management and leak detection. Also, we have an internal policy for efficient use of raw materials, electricity, water and other inputs, that is not only useful to reduce operating costs but also allows us to make sustainable use of the industrial activity developed by us.

We have established programs of health, safety, ethic and quality that are mandatory not only for managers and employees but also for customers, contractors and providers.
